The media and fans alike have taken to Tomlin quickly. That's what happens when you win a Super Bowl in your second season. But, like any coach, Tomlin has his strengths and weaknesses. He's a great motivator and has shown willingness to change schemes to give his team the best chance to win. He is not a great clock manager or game day decision maker. In a way he reminds me of Bill Cowher, only without the collapse at home in the AFC Championship.

I don't think Tomlin is as great a coach as many of the media and fans claim, but I still think he is one of the top 10 and has room to grow. I'm hoping he's not Jon Gruden or Brian Billick, but better to be one of those two and win a Super Bowl than to be Wade Phillips or Norv Turner.

That said, if the Steelers miss the playoffs, Tomlin should be heavily criticized for falling way short of expectations. This team has the talent to be a top 3 team, but it has performed inconsistently and lost games to inferior opponents. A clear sign of poor coaching.Joshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15447853067127670033noreply@blogger.com
